Brian Wyatt
is a Corrosion Engineer who has specialised in Cathodic Protection of steel
in soils, waters and concrete.
He is a Graduate Metallurgist, a Fellow of the Institute of Corrosion, a Fellow of the Concrete Society and a Fellow of the Institute of Highways and Transportation. He is a Member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered European Engineer. He is Certificated by NACE International as a Corrosion Specialist.
He is a Past President of the Institute of Corrosion and Past Chairman of the Corrosion Prevention Association. He has been active in pre-standards and standards preparation with I Corr, NACE and the CPA for many years. He is currently a BSI nominated UK expert to the European Standards organisation Cathodic Protection technical committee, CEN/TC219, and is active in the preparation of European Standards for steel in concrete, steel in waters and certification of Cathodic Protection personnel.
Brian Wyatt
has acted as an Independent Corrosion Consultant since 1985; first trading
as Corrosion Control Services and subsequently as Corrosion Control. During
this time he acted as a consultant to both Tarmac Construction Ltd and Global
Cathodic Protection Ltd in the formation and growth of Tarmac Global into
one of the strongest specialists in cathodic protection of reinforced concrete,
worldwide. He concurrently undertook independent consultancy in applications
out with reinforced concrete. Tarmac Global was transferred to Corrosion Control
Services Ltd in 1996 and, for a short time Brian Wyatt suspended his independent
consultancy work to concentrate on growth of that company. He is now totally
independent and has returned to his principal interest as an Independent Corrosion
Consultant.![]()
